[108:3] I will praise thee, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
[4] For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
[5] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
Whenever I read this psalm or Psalms 57:9-11 which are the same words, I think of the Maranatha Music worship song “Be Exalted O God”. I have listened to this song as part of one of my Praise and Worship CD’s for as long as I can remember. I even had it on cassette before CD’s. It has a wonderful melody that fits these verses perfectly. If you do not spontaneously start praising the Lord when you read these verses, you need to check your spiritual pulse. Below are the song’s lyrics:
Be Exalted O God
Verse
I will give thanks to Thee,
0 Lord, among the people.
I will sing praises to thee
Among the nations.
For Thy steadfast love is great,
Is great to the heavens,
And Thy faithfulness,
Thy faithfulness to the clouds.
Chorus
Be exalted, 0 God, above the heavens,
Let Thy glory be over all the earth.
Be exalted, 0 God, above the heavens,
Let Thy glory be over all the earth.1977 Maranatha! Music
