This site was created to share little jewels of scripture each day from the Word of God. It is based off of the readings from the One Year Bible. I use a variety of translations including Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB), New Living Translation Second Edition (NLTse), King James Version (KJV), New King James Version (NKJV), New International Version (NIV), and The Message (MSG). Comments are from a variety of sources as well including the Life Application Bible Notes, The IVP Bible Background Commentary: Old and New Testaments, Jamieson, Fausset, and Brown: Commentary Critical and Explanatory on the Whole Bible, Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary on the Whole Bible, New Bible Commentary, New Living Translation Study Bible Notes, New Living Translation Study Bible Cross References, IVP New Testament Commentary Series, and the Treasury of Scripture Knowledge.
